 ZAMBIA, TANZANIA RELATIONS STRONG - DEPUTY ARMY COMMANDER

Deputy Army Commander and Chief of Staff Major General Geoffrey Choongo Zyeele says Zambia enjoys strong bilateral and historic ties with the United Republic of Tanzania.

Maj Gen Zyeele was speaking when the Tanzanian Defence Attaché to Zambia, Lieutenant Colonel Bula Khamis Bulali, paid a courtesy call on him today at Army Headquarters in Lusaka.

The Deputy Army Commander applauded the military cooperation that exists between the two countries’ Defence Forces. He said Tanzanian Armed Forces have availed opportunities to Zambian military Officers to train at strategic and operational levels of warfare.

“Tanzanian’s contribution towards the training of Senior Officers at the Tanzania People’s Defence Forces Command and Staff College will always and forever be appreciated by the Zambian Army,” Maj Gen Zyeele said.

And Lt Col Bulali said that the Instructors Exchange Programme demonstrates strong military relations that exist between the two Forces.

Lt Col Bulali said she is happy to work in Zambia, and that she is hopeful she will contribute in strengthening the existing relations for the benefit of the two countries.
